The Farewell

I am a Dutch artist living in Portugal for 16 years. In Amsterdam I studied fine art and have been working as an artist, designer and teacher for many years. When I saw a piece of modern Nuno felt 17 years ago, it immediatly attracted me. It took a while before I started felting myself, as I just arrived in this beautiful country and had to find my new way of life. But when I did, the adventure in the proces totally fascinated me. Also because it allowed me to work with beautiful soft natural materials with gorgeous shine and colours. I started to specialise in felting very light and delicate shawls. It developped into felting dresses, jackets, vests and shrouds. My newest adventure is to design interior items as cushions, lamps and panels with the idea to bring that beautiful natural feeling into our home.
