Filomena Carmo

She has lived in Lagos for over 40 years, first in the city and then in the countryside near Barão de S. João. She studied sculpture at the Lisbon School of Fine Arts, taught Visual Education and taught weaving on a course in Heritage Conservation. She appreciates all traditional craft techniques. She likes to take shapes from nature and work them with threads and fabrics.
