Beatriz MBCC

Beatriz (Lisbon, 1983) is a performer.

She participated for three years in the IST Theatre Group (facilitated by Nicolas Brites - Teatro o Bando) and in various movement and voice training courses with Nuno Lucas, Vera Mantero, Hotel Europa, Rita Rodrigues, and Adriana Xavier.

Since 2016, she has participated in several community art projects in the Algarve and in 2022 began a series of performance works on water scarcity in the region (Ontem não é Hoje) with director Patrícia Leal. The two undertook an artistic residency in Iceland in April 2025 and hope to continue soon with new formats and partnerships.

Between 2023 and 2025, she trained in Dance Therapy, the Jornada do Corpo de Prazer (Journey of the Body of Pleasure) (which will result in a performance entitled ‘Com licença, prazer!’ with the support of Adriana Xavier, who already had her first artistic residency at Sekoia Artes Performativas in Porto in July 2025) and the online course ‘O Tempo da Corpa é Terra’ (The Time of the Body is Earth), which will result in a performance with Andreia Coelho and Carolina Mandrágora.

In 2025, she also took an in-depth retreat course in Modo Operativo And with Fernanda Eugénio in Barril de Alva.

She is currently a member of Avonde AC (Vila do Bispo) and hopes to contribute to the collective and performative work of this association.

She likes to interconnect concepts, nature and politics. Body and voice. Movement and stillness.
