Petra Shoecke

She is german and has been on this planet for 74 years. Arrived in Portugal in 1988. In the early years she lived in the countryside together with other families and began to draw and write short stories for children.
Over time she made small books with the short stories and published them in the community.
Later she also did sewing and built puppets with which she made small plays, held at the Vinha Velha walldorf school and with the children of the village at the cultural center in Barão de São João (in the early 90's).
Petra continued to improve her portuguese with voluntary classes in primary school and classes for foreign children. She also created a little book and 3 games to learn languages (Portuguese, English and German).
She considers herself as self-taught and had a lot of ups and downs in her life, but  still make short stories and small books that is going to show at the Walk & Art Festival.
